I went to the Baltic in Gateshead today as part of school yellow week, which I've mentioned before in this post.I'd never been to the Baltic before today, and everyone was always like ''you've never been? It's so good!'' and yes,it was good, but don't believe the hype!!11!It definitely depends on the exhibitions that are getting shown, but honestly pieces of stone placed in the room aren't my cup of tea.
We spent the morning with an artist called Paul Merrick, and we got to make a city scape based on some images using a vast quantity of materials, however we couldn't use pens or pencils.I generally think that not using pens/pencils for this kind of thing is so much better, because it makes you think outside the box,and it allows you to experiment more. That's my philosophical speech over for the day!
shots throughout the building as we couldn't take photos of the exhibitions without permission
(apart from the teacher, who got a picture of me sitting in a boat that was part of an exhibition #yolo????!!??)
I can easily say that one of the biggest joys in life comes from browsing through gift shops. If I go somewhere and there's a pencil that has the place name on it,I'll most probably buy it (I bought a pencil today but never want to use it because it's too nice!).When we used to go on school trips when I was little, everybody literally bought the cheapest things possible with the least amount of money, although there was usually that kid who brought a fiver, and the 10 minutes we were allowed in the gift shop, everyone would suddenly become his best friend.
I ended up taking many, many pictures of the Tyne/Millennium bridge, ugh,I just couldn't help myself. When you look out of the windows in the Baltic, you literally have the best view of Newcastle ever;there's the the Sage, the river Tyne, plus all of the bridges and buildings in the background.

This isn't the most flattering outfit picture ever, but I'm still happy about it because I haven't done any outfit photos for months!I love these socks as they go with most of the things I wear lately, but the only downfall is the fact that they literally fall down when you walk-not good in a crowded city!Still, they look good, and that's the most important thing, right?
